Pre Chemical Peel Protocol
How to prepare for a chemical peel?
- Stop any type of exfoliating treatments to the area of treatment, 2 weeks prior and after your peel.
- Stop any type of depilatory treatments (waxing, depilatory creams) to the area of treatment, 2 weeks prior and after your peel.
- Stop using Accutane minimum half a year prior to the treatment.
- At least two weeks before the peel, each night you need to apply a mild acid cream or lotion to the entire face and to any other areas that will be treated to begin the exfoliating process, resulting in a more even peel. And stop using this product 2 days before peel.
- Stop applying Retin-A, Renova, Tazorac, Differin and retinol 2 weeks prior and after, to the treatment area.
- Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks prior and after to your treatment.
- Don’t use any acid peeling solution if you are pregnant or lactating.
- Wear sunscreen (minimum SPF 30 daily) every day to avoid sun damage on your skin.
- Stop electrolysis, and any type of laser treatments, IPL to the area of treatment, 2-4 weeks before/after your peel.
